Role Purpose
The Field Laborer supports the successful execution of construction projects by helping maintain clean, organized, safe, and efficient jobsites. This role plays an important part in supporting the Superintendent, Project Manager, trade partners, and overall field operations while contributing to the quality and professionalism that define OTDB projects.
This position is ideal for someone who is hardworking, reliable, eager to learn, and interested in growing within the construction industry.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. Site Cleanliness & Protection
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized jobsites daily.
- Support dust control, site protection, erosion control, and construction fencing efforts.
- Remove debris and help maintain professional site conditions at all times.
- Protect completed work, materials, tools, and surrounding property.
2. Material & Equipment Management
- Organize, stage, and maintain materials for efficient workflow.
- Assist with loading, unloading, moving, and storing materials safely.
- Help track tools, equipment, and rentals to support field efficiency.
- Support delivery coordination and site logistics as directed.
3. Project & Field Support
- Assist the Superintendent and field team with day-to-day project needs.
- Support minor task completion to help maintain project flow and momentum.
- Help identify issues, deficiencies, or safety concerns proactively.
- Contribute to maintaining schedule pace through responsiveness and teamwork.
4. Minor Carpentry & Skilled Support
- Perform minor carpentry or labor tasks under supervision as needed.
- Support installation, demolition, protection, and punch-list activities.
- Learn proper construction methods, craftsmanship standards, and jobsite expectations.
- Demonstrate willingness to learn and improve daily.
5. Professionalism & Team Support
- Represent OTDB professionally on every jobsite.
- Treat clients, neighbors, trade partners, and team members with respect.
