Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Guitar Instructor to join our music education team. The ideal candidate is passionate about sharing the joy of music, comfortable teaching students of all ages and skill levels, and skilled at creating engaging, goal-oriented lesson plans. This position includes weekly group and/or private classes on our La Quinta campus.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach guitar lessons to students ranging from beginner to advanced skill levels.
- Develop and implement structured lesson plans tailored to individual or group needs.
- Create a supportive, inclusive, and encouraging classroom environment.
- Maintain clear communication with students, parents, and staff regarding progress and scheduling.
- Prepare students for performances, recitals, or showcases as applicable.
- Ensure classroom is set up and cleaned up before and after sessions.
- Participate in occasional staff meetings or special events as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience teaching guitar to children and adults.
- Strong understanding of music theory, technique, and performance fundamentals.
- Ability to develop lesson plans and adapt instruction for diverse learners.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional, reliable, and punctual.
Schedule & Compensation
- Part-time position with weekly class schedule (hours vary).
- Compensation based on experience.
Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal
Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 4 – 12 per week
