Food & Beverage Team Member (Non-Costumed; Front of House)

Old Sturbridge Village is hiring a Food & Beverage Team Member (Part-time 25 hours a week; benefits-eligible, 18 ) to join our Restaurant Operations Department. This team member will provide an excellent guest experience to Village patrons in the Bullard Tavern (quick service) and quick service in other locations as needed. Essential Duties:

· Assist customers in menu selections, make suggestions regarding food and beverage choices as well as answer questions

· Basic cash-handling skills; utilizing POS

· Ability to provide excellent customer service at all times

· Promotes diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility

· Constantly keeping the area clean and neat and assisting other employees as needed

· Courteously greets customers in person informing them of current food and beverage options and specials, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding food

· Visually inspects all products to ensure all garnishes are added appropriately and all food products are eye-appealing as designed

· Light food prep, understanding of sanitation, and knowledge of the presentation of food, training will be provided

· Report all food and service complaints to the manager

· Ability to work cooperatively with diverse groups.

· Demonstrate commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.

· Other duties as assigned

· Responsible cash handling

Position Requirements:

· Some heavy lifting (25-30lbs)

· Ability to work well under pressure

· Ability to remain standing and active for shift

· Ability to communicate

· Able to work well in a fast-paced environment

· Must have reliable transportation

Must be available to work Wednesday – Sunday. Some holidays and nights are required prior notice will be provided.
