Temporary Part-Time School Custodian
POSITION OVERVIEW
Old Sturbridge Academy Charter Public School is seeking a Custodian to work in a school serving grades k-8. The successful candidate will possess experience working in a school setting. Candidates must share OSACPS’s mission. The Custodian will be responsible for the overall cleanliness, sanitation, safety, and maintenance of the Old Sturbridge Academy facilities, buildings, grounds, and equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ability to plan and prioritize work, be self-motivated, and perform multiple tasks within a timely manner.
- Daily cleaning, mopping, trash removal, restocking of bathrooms, lounges, classrooms, and breakfast and lunch cleanup in classrooms.
- Special projects as assigned, but not limited to washing walls and glass, cleaning of carpets, stripping and refinishing of floors, outside trash, sweeping of walks, snow removal, and minor repairs.
- Knowledge of the use of tools, techniques, equipment, and procedures required in the cleaning of buildings and light repair and maintenance of buildings and grounds.
- Setup of classrooms or moving classrooms around, as needed.
- Receiving and offloading of equipment and supplies, as needed.
- Ability to work overtime to perform additional tasks, when required.
- All other duties as assigned.
SKILLS:
Knowledge and ability to properly use chemicals, general equipment and tools of the custodial trade, and maintenance.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must be able to work Monday - Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds while performing duties, as required.
- The position may require employees to stand for long periods.

Pay: $15.00 - $16.50 per hour
