Assistant Innkeeper - Weekends

The Assistant Innkeepers at The Old Stagecoach Inn are the first point of contact for guests and patrons, delivering a fantastic guest experience by demonstrating a positive, customer-focused mentality. They orchestrate the day's activities and are team players who pitch in wherever needed, whether serving breakfast, responding to guest issues, washing dishes, answering phones, taking reservations, cleaning rooms, baking cookies, etc. If you enjoy working with people and being active, are reliable, and have strong attention to detail, we’d love to talk to you about joining our team!

This position is Saturdays and Sundays, approximate hours 7:30-4:00.

Essential Functions

• Solve guest issues and respond to requests and questions with a friendly, helpful attitude.
• Assist in breakfast service, to include setting up and restocking buffet, seating guests, taking and expediting orders, bussing tables, washing dishes, and more.
• Check guests in and out and process payments.
• Answer phones and enter reservations into our property management system.
• Prioritize cleaning activities of housekeepers and inspect rooms prior to check-in.
• Wash, fold, and shelve laundry.
• Clean guest rooms and common areas as needed.
• Assist with other daily tasks including, but not limited to, making cookies, sweeping the porch, taking out trash and recycling, watering flower boxes, bringing in firewood, shoveling snow, etc.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Team player with a positive attitude and focus on customer service
• Hospitality experience strongly preferred
• Able to effectively communicate in English
• Comfortable with technology
• Able to stand for prolonged periods, go up and down stairs, and bend frequently
• Able to lift up to 25 pounds routinely

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 17.0 per week
