Farm Crew Member – Old South Carriage Company
Are you passionate about horses and looking for a hands-on role in a dynamic, team-oriented environment? Old South Carriage Company is seeking dedicated individuals to join our Farm Crew! As part of our team, you'll play a key role in operations by maintaining the health and well-being of our draft horses and additionally transporting them between our scenic 110 acre Farm on Johns Island and the historic stables in downtown Charleston.
What You’ll Do:
- Safely transport horses between our 110-acre farm on Johns Island and our downtown Charleston stables.
- Maintain and manage our three barns, ensuring a clean and organized environment.
- Feed, water, and care for our herd, including administering basic healthcare and medications.
- Groom horses, clean stalls, and prepare draft horses for tours.
- Assist with daily farm operations, facility maintenance, and small projects.
- Ensure the overall well-being of our herd while upholding our company’s commitment to excellence.
What We’re Looking For:
- Confidence and experience in caring for draft horses
- Experience in driving a truck and trailer and the ability to transport horses safely.
- A team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently.
- Open availability (7 days a week, between 6 AM – 10 PM).
- A valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
- A professional and hospitable attitude
- Competitive Pay: Starting at $18–$20 per hour, based on experience and role.
- Full-Time Schedule: 5 shifts per week, with AM and PM shifts available.
