Job Summary
Lead the development, standardization, and implementation of effective sanitation programs across multiple facilities. Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements while driving efficiency, team capability, and continuous improvement in sanitation practices.

Key Responsibilities
- Sanitation Program Development & Execution
- Develop and implement robust sanitation programs and SSOPs aligned with OSF internal standards and regulatory requirements (GMPs, HACCP, PCQI, etc.).
- Continuously evaluate and improve cleaning methods, executing best practices and driving consistency across all assigned plants.
- Lead the development of sanitation training programs and ensure all SSOPs are clearly communicated and adhered to.
- Cross-Functional Integration & Operational Efficiency
- Partner with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Quality/Food Safety teams to integrate sanitation activities with overall plant operations.
- Track and report sanitation efficiency metrics to stakeholders and use data analysis to identify trends and recommend solutions.
- Support and manage non-routine investigative, corrective, and preventive sanitation-related action plans.
- Chemical & Infrastructure Oversight
- Oversee chemical usage optimization, including inventory management and reporting, in collaboration with the Chemical Vendor and Sanitation Manager.
- Monitor and manage sanitation infrastructure, including equipment condition, maintenance tools, and structural elements of the facility.
- Team Leadership & Support
- Provide leadership, guidance, and development to Sanitation Managers and Supervisors at each plant.
- Ensure teams are adequately trained, resourced, and compliant with safety, food safety, and operational policies.
- Serve as backup to plant Sanitation Supervisors when needed.
- Compliance & Safety
- Ensure adherence to company safety programs and all applicable food safety regulations and sanitation standards.
- Drive initiatives to align sanitation practices with current regulatory and industry best practices.
- Other Responsibilities
- Perform additional tasks as assigned to meet operational or strategic business needs.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Proficient in the Seven Steps of Sanitation and their application in plant environments.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); experienced in data entry and reporting using BEF systems.
- Ability to train and coach teams on SSOPs and sanitation best practices.
- Strong initiative, self-motivation, and ability to work independently or remotely.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, both in-person and remote.
- Ability to work with multi-cultural workforce. Bi-lingual (Spanish) preferred.
Education and Experience
- Degree or diploma in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in food manufacturing with strong knowledge of sanitation practices and food safety standards.
- Certification in HACCP and PCQI preferred.
