- CNC Machinist Needed
- We are seeking a highly skilled, motivated, and team-oriented full-time CNC Machinist for a 1st shift position in our growing small business.
Position Available:
Senior CNC Programmer / Machinist
Required skills and training:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 10 years experience programming and setting up both CNC Mills and CNC lathes
- 10 years experience programming using CAM software ( Partmaker, Mastercam, etc.)
- Problem solving skills and experience in all areas of the turning and milling processes
- Interpreting mechanical prints and creating repeatable, reliable setups from them for runs of 10's of parts to 100's of parts
- Proven ability to solve complex, high tolerance workholding and surfacing problems
- Tooling expertise across a broad spectrum of materials and machine processes
- Strong commitment to continuous improvement and process optimization
- Metrology experience with CMM, digital and vernier calipers and micrometers, along with other inspection equipment.
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to both work independently and effectively lead, train, and listen in a team based environment
- Strong attention to detail, with excellent work ethic and sense of urgency
- Strong quality focus
- Able to lift 50 lbs
- Preferred skills:
- Degree or certificate in machining / manufacturing
- 5 years experience setting up and programming Swiss Screw machines
- 10 years experience Fanuc Oi-TB control
