Are you looking for an opportunity to focus on animal care that is self-driven with flexible hours? Old Mill Country Store is seeking a hard working Pharmacist to join their established veterinary medicine based pharmacy. This part-time position offers a unique opportunity to learn about and manage pet and livestock medications while serving a diverse customer base. With most formerly OTC antibiotics being reclassified as Rx only, this developing field will only continue to expand.
Hours and days are flexible !
Qualifications:
· Bachelor of Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from accredited college of pharmacy required
· Current WA State Pharmacist License required (upon start date)
· Veterinary medicine background preferred but not mandatory.
Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
· Process new prescriptions, refills and transfers
· Ensure accuracy, safety and efficacy of dispensed prescriptions through clinical review, interpretation of veterinarian orders, and prescription verification
· Provide timely service and assist the team in tasks as needed including answering phone calls, dispensing and verifying prescriptions, and any other functions required to provide quality service
· Organize and direct workflow through development of protocols, staff education, other management duties
· Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to procedures, rules and laws or regulations
· Operate in compliance with all governing bodies
