Host / Hostess

· Responsible for checking bathrooms for cleanliness, empty trash, check and restock paper products and refill soap dispensers.

· Responsible for cleaning the glass on all entry doors.

· Must have knowledge all table numbers, including the patio tables.

· Responsible for greeting guests in a friendly manner within 1 minute of guest’s arrival, and thanking the guests as they are leaving.

· Must have excellent customer service skills to enhance the guests experience from the time they walk through the door to the time they leave. You are the first person and the last person they encounter.

· Responsible for taking guests to their table along with menus, and telling the guests that their server (By name), will be right with them.

· Responsible for communicating with the server and letting them know that they were just sat a table and what table number.

· Responsible for announcing to the kitchen, how many guests were seated.

· Responsible for helping the server assistant preset up tables for large groups and reservations.

· Responsible for answering the phone.

· Responsible for taking reservations. Information needed: Guest name, time, number of guests, phone number, and any special requests that the guest may have.

· Responsible for entering reservations into Open Table.

· Responsible for managing Open Table.

· Responsible for keeping the hostess station clean, neat and organized.

· Responsible for keeping all menus outside and inside clean and organized. If pages are dirty or tattered let the Manager know and they will printer new ones.

· Responsible for making sure that we have enough kid’s menus and crayons for the kids. If not, print more from upstairs printer.

· Must work closely with the servers and server assistants to maintain an organized account of guests coming in and going out. And keeping track of which tables are available or need to be cleaned and reset.
