JOB HIGHLIGHTS

Qualifications:

- Must be comfortable in an ever-changing environment

- Ability to interpret civil blueprints

- Self-motivated, reliable, and attention to detail is a must!

- 2 years in a construction office setting, handling underground utility takeoffs

- Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)

- Proficiency in Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or other digital measurement software

- Strong attention to detail, organized, and able to manage documents and numbers

- Communication skills for coordinating with project managers/estimators

- Self-motivated, reliable, and have a good attitude

- High school diploma or some college (degree preferred but not required).

Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze underground utility construction drawings,
  • blueprints, and specifications to identify scope of work
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for suppliers. Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing for materials and services
  • Assist in preparing bid proposals by compiling quantities, pricing, and supporting documentation
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop accurate cost estimates based on takeoff data
  • Use Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or other digital measurement software to perform precise takeoffs, quantify materials, and generate detailed reports
  • Coordinate and request site visits when required by the customer for bidding purposes
  • Support project management efforts by tracking costs, managing budgets, and implementing cost control measures
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Coordinate with construction site teams to ensure estimates align with on-the-ground realities and project timelines
  • Management reserves the right to modify or assign duties as necessary in response to business needs and company priorities

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
