What are the responsibilities and job description for the Graphic Designer position at Old Guard Graphics?
Old Guard Graphics is a High Volume Apparel Screen Printer. We are seeking an experienced Graphic Designer to join and possibly lead our in-house art team. You will be creating designs for t-shirts and various other types of custom printed apparel. Candidates with a background in apparel design and prepress/color separation are preferred.

This is an in-house position. We are not interested in freelance or remote workers at this time. Please do not apply if you are not in the Athens Georgia area.
We have a very diverse customer base, so you will need to be adaptable in style to fit a wide range of customer aesthetics. Our customers range from nationally touring music acts, collegiate licensed sportswear, apparel lines, fraternities, sororities, education & entertainment.
No two jobs are ever the same so the work stays interesting and can be very challenging.
Most projects require a significant amount of custom illustration, so excellent drawing skills in addition to the mastery of the Adobe Creative Suite are a must. Please take a look at our instagram page to see our recent work and the quality of design we require from our Art department.

Responsibilities:
- Create original designs for printed t-shirts from customer supplied concepts.
- Must be able to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Digital prepress & Color Separation (preparing approved designs for printing)
- Coordinate project scheduling with Sales Associates and Art Director.
Qualifications:
- Must be expert level proficiency with Adobe CS, specifically Photoshop & Illustrator.
- Must possess excellent illustration skills.
- Must be able to work quickly in a deadline driven environment.
- Must be detail oriented.
Compensation will be based on experience and quality of portfolio.
Depending on the individual we may be able to assist with moving costs if you are interested in relocating to Athens, Ga.
