Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Present menus, answer questions about dishes, and recommend wine pairings or specials to enhance guest satisfaction
- Upsell menu items and beverages to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining genuine guest engagement
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety standards are consistently followed in accordance with food industry regulations
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate timely food preparation and service, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation
- Manage cash handling and cashiering responsibilities accurately using POS systems. Assist with bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and supporting host/hostess duties as needed to ensure smooth operations
- Foster positive guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and professionally, creating a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors
Requirements
- Proven experience in fine dining or upscale food service environments with a strong background in serving and guest relations
- Familiarity with POS systems such Micros POS for order processing and reservations management
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell menu items confidently and authentically
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Previous experience with culinary or kitchen environments is a plus for better understanding of food preparation processes
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor that enhances guest experiences
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as required by restaurant operations
