Kennel Technician

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Kennel Technician/Attendant to join our Boarding and Daycare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional animal care, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and assisting with various pet-related services. This role offers an opportunity to work closely with animals and contribute to their well-being while supporting other staff members. Prior experience with animal handling, pet grooming, or veterinary assistance is highly valued, and a strong commitment to animal care is essential.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect kennels, cages, and surrounding areas to ensure a sanitary environment
• Feed, water, and monitor the health status of animals in our care
• Assist with routine tasks, pet bathing and brushing as needed
• Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques to prevent injury or stress
• Observe animals for signs of illness or distress and report findings to management
• Maintain detailed records of animal care activities and behaviors
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners and visitors

Skills

• Experience in dog training, pet grooming, or pet sitting preferred
• Veterinary technician or assistant experience highly desirable
• Strong animal handling skills with the ability to restrain animals safely and humanely
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary (e.g., lifting animals or supplies)
• Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with clients and team members
• Knowledge of animal care best practices and safety protocols
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Compassionate attitude towards animals and their owners

Pet boarding and doggy daycare facility with 3 large outdoor play areas with covered canopies and barns. Additionally, we have a smaller play yard and large barn for the little and senior dogs. The overall design provides a safe, sanitary and stimulating environment.
