Summary of Role
The Parts and Service Manager is directly responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Parts and Service Department. This leadership role ensures departmental efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction by managing staff, inventory, workflow, and departmental growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain an efficient and profitable Parts and Service Department
- Lead and supervise daily activities of all parts and service staff
- Maximize productivity and efficiency of service technicians
- Oversee work in progress for quality and timely completion
- Ensure inventory levels meet service demands
- Develop and implement department-specific promotional campaigns
- Support recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training efforts for department staff
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in Parts and Service within a motor vehicle dealership (Harley-Davidson experience preferred)
- Strong knowledge of, or ability to quickly learn, Harley-Davidson motorcycles and related products
- Proficiency in point-of-sale and dealership service management software, or the ability to quickly adapt to new systems
- Valid Motorcycle License Preferred
