What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ready Mix Concrete Truck Driver position at Old Dominion Concrete Supply LLC?
We are an independent company seeking a qualified individual wanting to grow with our business. An ideal candidate must be committed to delivering, listening to instructions, and take pride in their work.
Responsibilities:
- Safely deliver ready-mix concrete to various job sites, ensuring the delivery is on time and within the specified parameters.
- Safely operated trucks are in accordance with all appropriate federal and state guidelines.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including the wearing of appropriate protective gear (e.g., safety boots, gloves, hard hat).
- Maintain the cleanliness of the truck by washing it regularly and removing any concrete buildup.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with air breaks.
- Successfully pass pre-employment screenings to include current DOT medical card, drug screening, background check and DMV driving report.
- Previous ready-mix truck or industry expertise experience preferred.
Physical and Environmental conditions
- Pick up, lift, and carry chutes weighing up to 50 pounds
- Repeatedly climb truck ladders up to 12 ft several times a day.
- Sit and stand for lengthy periods of time.
- Exposed to outdoor conditions and elements.
