Early Morning Lifeguard (4:45 AM – 11:00 AM Weekday Availability Required)
Location: 635 Plymouth Street East Bridgewater, MA

No prior certification? No problem—we provide training for the right candidates.
Important: Employment is contingent upon successful completion of the Ellis Lifeguard Certification course.
What You’ll Do
- Open the pool on time and set the tone for a positive, welcoming environment
- Greet members and create a friendly, respectful atmosphere
- Monitor all swimmers to ensure safety and enforce pool rules
- Support lap swim operations, including organizing lanes as needed
- Communicate clearly with participants about classes and pool procedures
- Respond quickly and professionally to any incidents or emergencies
- Assist with fun and engaging aquatic programs and events
- Promote YMCA programs and connect members to opportunities
- Attend staff meetings and ongoing trainings
- Secure the pool area at the end of your shift unless properly relieved
Schedule Requirement
- Weekday availability for shifts between 4:45 AM – 11:00 AM

Qualifications:
What We’re Looking For
- At least 16 years old
- Lifeguard, CPR/AED, First Aid, and Oxygen certifications (or willingness to obtain—training provided)
- Ability to stay alert, focused, and professional at all times
- Strong customer service mindset and communication skills
- Physically able to perform all lifeguard duties, including water rescues
- Reliable and committed to maintaining certification standards
