Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to foster a welcoming atmosphere
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable, ensuring timely processing of sales transactions
- Serve food and drinks with professionalism, including cocktail service, wine knowledge, spirits experience, and beverage presentation
- Upsell menu items to enhance the guest experience and increase sales through friendly suggestions and product knowledge
- Handle cash transactions accurately while processing payments swiftly and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure proper food handling, preparation, and timely delivery of orders
- Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction
- Assist with food preparation tasks when needed and support team members in busy service periods
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments; fine dining experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; familiarity with OpenTable is preferred
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor
- Ability to manage time effectively during high-volume service periods
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques
- Basic math skills for processing sales transactions accurately
- Understanding of food safety standards and sanitation practices in the food industry
- Previous experience in serving, bussing, cashiering or host/hostess roles is advantageous
- Culinary experience or kitchen background is beneficial but not required
- Demonstrated ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest experience
