What are the responsibilities and job description for the English Language Instructor (Part-Time) position at OLA Language School?
Schedule: Thursdays, 6:00–7:30 PM (October – May, following Paulding County School District calendar)
About the Role
We are seeking part-time English instructors to teach adults in Paulding County School District. These classes help parents improve their English so they can support their children’s education and be more active in the community. Curriculum is provided.
Responsibilities
- Teach adult learners with limited English proficiency
- Build skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing
- Plan dynamic lessons and activities using provided curriculum
- Assess student progress and keep attendance records
- Support student retention through engaging teaching
Qualifications
- Experience teaching English to adults (ESL/ELL)
- Knowledge of second language acquisition strategies
- Reliable, organized, able to work independently
- Strong commitment to serving immigrant and minority families
- Preferred: Ability to speak another language (Spanish is a plus)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required (Education, TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or related field preferred)
