The Okoboji Store Bar and Kitchen & Mau Marine provide a fast-paced, energetic work environment located right on East and West Lake Okoboji. We can give you the opportunity to gain vital work experience at the busiest summer tourist location in the tristate area! We are seeking a motivated DJ who is outgoing, creative, and can provide a fun music experience for our guests.
Position Summary
We’re looking for a DJ who can deliver upbeat, feel-good music that enhances the experience at our lakeside restaurant and marina. This internship is perfect for someone who loves mixing music, has an ear for crowd flow, and wants real experience performing live.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain an engaging atmosphere through live DJ sets
- Mix a variety of genres appropriate for a lakeside audience (summer hits, country, pop, upbeat vibes, etc.)
- Perform short vocal sets or sing along with mixes if applicable
- Assist with simple event hosting at events (announcements, transitions).
- Setting up and breaking down equipment.
- Maintain a positive, friendly, upbeat presence at all times.
Requirements
- Must have your own DJ equipment (controller, laptop, mic, headphones, speakers, etc).
- Experience mixing music live.
- Comfortable performing in front of crowds, ability to interact with guests, and create a fun environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work evenings/weekends.
- Vocal ability or willingness to sing is preferred but not mandatory.
- Must be 16
