ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

If you're an experienced concrete construction leader who takes pride in delivering high-quality place-and-finish work safely, efficiently, and on schedule, we'd like to talk with you. We're looking for someone with proven experience leading concrete crews, planning and executing complex pours, and coordinating manpower, equipment, and logistics in the field. You bring strong technical expertise in concrete operations, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the leadership skills needed to develop teams while maintaining accountability for safety, quality, productivity, and schedule. In this role, you'll play a critical part in delivering successful projects by ensuring concrete operations are planned, executed, and completed to the highest standards.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY

Field Leadership & Operations

  • Lead all concrete place-and-finish operations, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and according to project quality standards.
  • Plan and coordinate concrete placements, including manpower, equipment, materials, deliveries, sequencing, and site logistics.
  • Lead pre-pour planning meetings and confirm crews, equipment, materials, and site conditions are ready before placement activities begin.
  • Oversee concrete placement, finishing, curing, saw cutting, and protection of completed work.

Planning, Quality & Production

  • Review drawings, specifications, schedules, and pour plans to identify challenges and develop practical field solutions.
  • Monitor concrete quality, production goals, and field productivity while ensuring compliance with project specifications, tolerances, and FF/FL requirements.
  • Coordinate with project leadership, foremen, trade partners, and field teams to align concrete activities with overall project schedules.
  • Communicate short-term work plans and resource needs to maintain efficient field operations.

Safety & Team Development

  • Promote and enforce a strong safety culture through pre-task planning, safe work practices, and field accountability.
  • Mentor and develop foremen and craft professionals while setting clear expectations for safety, quality, and performance.
  • Foster teamwork, problem-solving, and continuous improvement throughout concrete operations.

YOU'RE READY FOR THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional construction, engineering, or trade-related education preferred.
  • 5 years of concrete construction experience with significant experience in concrete place-and-finish operations.
  • Previous experience as a Superintendent or comparable field leadership role overseeing concrete crews and operations.
  • Strong knowledge of concrete placement, finishing techniques, curing practices, saw cutting, quality control, and placement sequencing.
  • Demonstrated experience planning and executing large and/or complex concrete pours.
  • Strong understanding of manpower planning, production tracking, equipment utilization, and field logistics.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and project documentation.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop field teams while maintaining accountability for safety, quality, schedule, and productivity.
  • Strong communication, organization, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours that support concrete placement schedules, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends when required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with large-scale commercial, industrial, healthcare, advanced manufacturing, or other complex construction projects.
  • Experience overseeing high-production concrete placements and large slab pours.
  • Knowledge of FF/FL requirements and concrete quality-control processes.
  • Experience working with self-perform concrete operations.
  • OSHA 30 certification or equivalent safety training.
