Job Description
The Instrumentation Technician is responsible for performing duties related to the sterilization and distribution of medical and surgical supplies, instruments and processing equipment. Duties also include inventory management; stocking and packaging of medical supplies, and linen/uniform supplies. The Instrumentation Technician is under the direction of the Surgical Director and may be assisted by a Registered Nurse, Surgical Technician and Material Supervisor. Instrumentation Tech is an integral part of the surgical team and is responsible for maintaining sterilization and decontamination of equipment, instrument sets, and sterile supplies.
Qualifications
Vocational / Technical school preferred
Surgical Technologist Certification And/or Previous Experience Preferred
Knowledge of the functions of Steam, Steris, and Sterrad sterilization preferred
