Job Description
The lead engineer in the OSU Medical Center information technology infrastructure with emphasis in administration of existing and new information technology design implementations. This position reports to the Assistant Director of IT Infrastructure.
Must have a thorough understanding of and experience with: Network infrastructure (TCP/IP, Routing, Firewalls, Security, Ethernet, DNS, DHCP, HTTPS, VLAN, VPN, Microsoft 365, Email and Email spam and encryption management tools, web filtering, etc.) Knowledge and experience with Cisco Switches, Cisco UCS, Meraki AP’s, Windows Server2016; Exchange, SQL experience, NetApp, Citrix 7x , VMWare management tools experience, knowledge of VoIP implementation and support and power shell scripting. Requires technical, analytical and interpersonal skills. Requires ability to communicate in an understandable, polite and friendly manner, both written and verbal as well as the ability to multi-task.
Prefer CCNA, CISSP, VMware certified, Microsoft 365 and Power shell.
Qualifications
Education: Associate's Degree or Computer Technology Diploma required
Certification: CNA, CISSP, VMware Certified (preferred)
Experience: 5 years minimum in information technology engineering
