Job Description
The Lead Pharmacy Technician assists the pharmacist, pharmacy director, and other pharmacy technicians in the preparation and delivery of pharmaceutical preparations. As the lead pharmacy technician, responsibilities will include training and development of pharmacy technician staff, maintaining and developing new quality improvement initiatives, assisting in safety and quality improvement within the pharmacy department, and performing other project and work assigned by the pharmacy director. The lead pharmacy technician will perform non-professional duties to ensure that the pharmacy department is in full compliance with all hospital, state, federal, and board of pharmacy policies, laws, rules, and regulations. The lead pharmacy technician will maintain a national certified pharmacy technician license and be expected to be knowledgeable with pharmacy practice.
Qualifications
Education: High School or GED
License/Certification: Pharmacy Technician Certification
Experience: 3-5 years
