Accounting Scanning Student Worker

DEPARTMENT PURPOSE: The Accounting and Finance team contributes to the mission by serving as trusted stewards of financial resources, partnering across the organization to ensure financial accuracy, accountability, and compliance—guided by integrity and intentionality to support the OSU Foundation's mission and amplify the impact of donor generosity.

PRIMARY PURPOSE: The Scanning Student is responsible for assisting the accounting department in scanning documents into the Document Manager application. May progress to other accounting intern duties.

Key Areas Of Focus

• Scanning Documents (90%)
• Prepare and organize documents for digital imaging.
• Digitize records and upload files into the Document Manager system.
• Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of stored documents.
• Other Activities (10%)
• Other projects and duties as assigned.
  
  

Education, Experience And Job Competencies

• Education and Experience-
• In pursuit of a bachelor’s or master’s degree, with a strong academic record, preferably in accounting or finance.
• Job Competencies-
• Strong reading comprehension and problem-solving skills.
• Must possess strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and professionalism.
• Ability to work effectively as a member of a team. Must adhere to strict confidentiality standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and via video conferencing. Requires frequent repetitive motions when operating computers, telephones, and standard office equipment. Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working at a computer or attending meetings. Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to approximately 20 pounds.
