Pediatric Speech Therapist / Speech Language Pathologist Job Description:
This is an opportunity for a therapist who wants to work with clients in an outpatient setting with an amazing team! You will have the opportunity to work with the pediatric population and their families and will focus on the diagnosis and treatment of a range of neuro-developmental disorders. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS for the Pediatric Speech Therapist / Speech Language Pathologist
- Possesses a degree that includes an internship from an approved Master’s program in Speech–Language Pathology, or as required by applicable law and/or regulation
- Oklahoma State License: CCC-SLP (CF applicants will be considered)
- Meets the education and experience requirements for a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech–Language Pathology, granted by the American Speech–Language–Hearing Association (ASHA)
- Excellent work ethic and dedication to patient success
- Basic computer skills
Preferred Qualifications for the Pediatric Speech Therapist / Speech Language Pathologist
- Experience working in pediatrics
- Experience working with clients with developmental disorders
Pediatric Speech Therapist / Speech Language Pathologist Responsibilities
- Conduct developmental screening/assessments, provide speech therapy services and consult with family members and other professionals working with the family in our outpatient setting.
- Educate family members and caregivers on different intervention strategies to facilitate active involvement and carry-over at community settings.
- Follow Individualized Service Plan, plan ongoing treatment, and interpret goals and treatment plan for parents.
- Prepare progress reports at six month intervals as well as annual reviews
- Maintains client records
- Ensure that progress is generalized and caregivers are active participants in therapy through specific goals, training sessions, and communication
- Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and State & Federal regulations) and submit records to agency within established deadlines.
