Licensed Physician Assistant needed for busy orthopedic surgeon in North OKC
Responsibilities:
- Provide acute and chronic patient care, including patient histories
- Assist in surgery
- Perform pre and post operative patient care
- Wound care and suturing
- Monitor therapies
- Prescribe appropriate medications
- Order and interpret tests
- Take patient calls as needed
- Educate patients and families
- Complete discharge summaries as requested by the physician
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- A current PA license in the state of Oklahoma is required
- NCCPA certified or eligible
- One year in orthopedics is preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Experience with Epic is a plus
- Strong computer skills
