Child Welfare Specialist II/III - FMC Facilitator - OKDHS Only

Child Welfare Specialist II H23B Annual Salary: $40,077.79  Full State Employee Benefits

Child Welfare Specialist III H23C Annual Salary: $43,968.62 Full State Employee Benefits

Shift-diff pay is paid after standard hours.

Applicants who possess a Master's Degree in Social Work will be entitled to a salary incentive of an additional 5%.

 On-call positions will receive an additional bonus ranging from $100 to $150 every two weeks, depending on responsibilities.

Travel is OCCASIONAL. Must possess a valid driver's license and must maintain required car insurance.
 

Minimum Qualifications

Child Welfare Specialist, Level II

• A bachelor's degree (in any field) to qualify;
• OR One year of experience as a Child Welfare Specialist.

Child Welfare Specialist, Level III

• A Master's degree;
• OR a Bachelors Degree plus one year of experience as a Child Welfare Specialist;
• OR Two years of experience as a Child Welfare Specialist.

Job Responsibilities

• Position serves as a Family Meeting Continuum (FMC) Facilitator partnering with families in a manner that honors and respects the specific dynamics of the family unit to lead to more effective interventions with families and increase child safety outcomes.  

• Conducts Child Safety Meetings (CSM) to guide the decision-making process for determining the child’s safety needs and the best intervention strategy during the Child Protective Services (CPS) investigation process.  

• Identifies and supports the family's natural network of relatives and significant others to participate in safety planning and as placement resources, when necessary. 

• Develops specific individualized interventions that permit the child to remain safely in the least-intrusive, least-restrictive environment.  Explores alternative safety interventions as a contingency plan.
