Responsibilities

The OHH Mechanic I performs all work with accord to the mission, vision, and values of the Oklahoma Heart Hospital. Works with minimal supervision to perform skilled work relating to the maintenance of al Oklahoma Heart Hospital properties, systems and equipment as assigned. Performs proactive maintenance, safety and operational testing of all designated equipment and building systems as assigned.

This position is classified as a safety-sensitive position, which means OHH reasonably believes this position could affect the safety and health of his or her own self and others.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform daily visual inspections of assigned equipment.
  • Perform repairs to all responsible equipment and systems as instructed.
  • Keep appropriate inventory of parts and supplies to expedite equipment and system repairs.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties/assignments as directed.
  • Ensure all responsible areas are organized, clean and free of abnormal hazards.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs.

Qualifications

  • Qualifications / Specifications: Minimum two years related trade/discipline experience with basic computer literacy. Able to verbalize and write communications on technical subjects, for use by the director/manager/supervisor. Preferred requirements are two to four years related hospital experience in a maintenance field, licensure and technical training. Has understanding of basic computer application skills and has the ability to make decisions of moderate difficulty.
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
