* Complex responsibilities related to primary focus of job area. Uses best practices and in-depth business knowledge to solve complex problems and improve products or services. May adapt procedures, processes and techniques to meet the more complex requirements of position.
* Supports company safety programs and initiatives by following all EHS and Operating procedures and adhering to established design standards.
* Prepares engineering analysis for small/routine projects to include: preliminary design, calculation, life cycle cost and equipment selection.
* Assists upper level engineers as directed while developing specialized engineering skills.
* Conducts surveys to gather field data.
* Prepare and interpret schematics, drawings, layouts and other visual aids.
* Reviews and critiques proposed changes to engineering standards, policies and guidelines.
* Review development plans for compliance with adopted engineering standards and good engineering practices.
* Functions as quality inspector or defines quality requirements on engineering designs and projects.
* Assures that all design specifications conform to the latest national and local codes, rules and regulations.
* Provides on-the-job training to new staff.
* Manages multiple projects and associated budgets, schedules and resources.
* All other duties as assigned.
* Bachelors Degree in Engineering or PE & 5 years directly related engineering experience (which may include non-Engineer exp such as Engineering Internship, Design, Drafting, and Engineering Technician exp. This type of exp will be counted at half rate) Or
* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology and 7 years directly related experience (at least 5 years as an Engineer and a maximum of 2 years related experience which may include non-Engineer.)
* May be required to work at heights up to and exceeding thirty (30) feet, underground and in confined spaces.
* May be required to work non-standard work schedules.
* May be exposed to extreme conditions and inclement weather.
* May require travel.
