We are a small, fast-paced consumer protection law firm representing individuals harmed by fraud, auto dealer misconduct, credit reporting errors, and other unfair business practices.
Position Overview
We are seeking an organized, dependable Legal Assistant to support attorneys with case management, client communication, legal documents, court filings, and deadlines.
Legal experience is preferred but not required. We are open to the right college graduate with strong communication skills, maturity, attention to detail, and relevant work or life experience.
Responsibilities
- Draft, proofread, and format legal documents
- File pleadings in state and federal courts
- Track deadlines and maintain case calendars
- Organize client files and discovery materials
- Communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel
- Assist with hearing and trial preparation
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Professional, dependable, and able to work independently
- Legal office, e-filing, or case-management experience is a plus
- Spanish skills are a plus
- Reliable transportation required
