The Student Material Control Assistant is responsible for performing a variety of clerical and manual work in assisting the support function of the Physical Plant’s Material Control Office.

Minimum Education/Experience
Current OCCC student enrolled in a minimum of 6 hours for the Fall or Spring semester or enrolled in a minimum of 3 hours for the Summer semester
OR
Current OCCC student with a Federal Work Study award.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Ability to read and follow oral and written instructions.
Ability to perform clerical functions.
Possession of a valid Oklahoma driver’s license.

1. GENERAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Very heavy work: This position requires the person to have the ability to lift weights up to sixty (60) pounds.
2. PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
This position requires the person to frequently move about the various campuses and occasionally perform job functions in narrow aisles or passageways.
This position requires the person to frequently communicate with and listen to administration, faculty, staff, students, and vendors to perform the essential functions of the position. Must be able to exchange accurate information in various situations.
This position requires the person to frequently remain in a standing and stationary position.
This position requires the person to frequently operate equipment that frequently involves repetitive motions of hands and wrists.
This position requires the person to occasionally ascend/descend a ladder to perform the essential functions of the position.
This position requires the person to frequently position self to move, lift, push, pull, work on, or operate equipment, furniture, or packages.
3. VISUAL ACUITY:
This position requires the person to judge, observe and assess the accuracy, neatness, thoroughness of work assigned or to make general observations.
4. WORKING CONDITIONS
This position’s essential functions are performed indoors and outdoors and subject to extreme cold (temperatures below 32 degrees) and extreme hot temperatures (temperatures above 100 degrees).
This position requires the person to communicate above ambient noise levels and exchange accurate information in various situations.
