Our Blood Institute is actively looking for a Staff Accountant. This position would assist the Controller with the month-end closing process and provide management with financial information by researching and analyzing financial data. Also, this position will play a key role in maintaining the company's accounting software applications and functions.
Location: Oklahoma City, OK
Pay: Competitive salary based on education and/or experience

Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- Minimum Two years General Ledger Accounting experience
- CPA Preferred
- High Proficiency with Excel & Other Accounting software
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Analytical problem-solving ability
- Strong work ethic and emphasis on attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize objectives and job duties
- Ability to plan/organize workload, while maintaining flexibility
- Good Communication Skills
- Highly Motivated
- Ability to consistently meet monthly and quarterly deadlines
Primary Responsibilities:
- Preparing and posting journal vouchers for month end and year end closing.
- Identifying, recording and posting monthly, quarterly and year end accrual entries.
- Maintaining subsidiary ledgers as necessary.
- Support month end and year end close process.
- Preparing monthly account reconciliation reports of various balance sheet accounts & income statement accounts assigned by controller/management.
- Preparing supplemental management reports when requested by management.
- Overseeing and maintaining the functionality of the accounting software applications by developing new reports using Pivot Tables or VLookup and troubleshooting software problems when they arise.
- Activities relating to year-end financial audit including preparation of audit work papers and financial reports for examination.
- Providing accounting/financial support to other departments when needed.
Salary : $60,000 - $70,000
