We are looking for a Part-Time or Full-Time Restaurant Host/Hostess to take phone calls and seat customers. You will be responsible for making customers feel welcome and answering phone calls regarding reservations, pick-up orders, and setting up hibachi tables. We are looking for warm, friendly, quick-to-learn, fast-paced, and organized hostess with flexible schedules and can work weekdays and weekends when needed. In addition to your hourly salary, you will receive tips from pick-up orders.
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests with a welcoming smile and escort them to their tables.
- Manage reservations, waitlists, and seating arrangements efficiently.
- Answer phone calls, take reservations, and provide basic restaurant information.
- Maintain a clean and organized host stand and entrance area.
- Communicate effectively with servers, hibachi chefs, and management.
- Assist in maintaining a smooth flow of service during peak hours.
- Handle guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism.
- Support other front-of-house duties as needed.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a host/hostess or in customer service (preferred but not required).
- Friendly, outgoing personality with strong communication skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Basic knowledge of reservation systems (e.g., OpenTable) is a plus.
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
