Yard Coordinator/Wash-bay Detailer: OKIE Tool and Equipment Rental is a full-service tool and equipment rental Yard with a huge volume of name-brand and high-demand construction tools and equipment, including Case, Manitou, JLG, Kubota, Ditch-witch, Barretta, Yale, Concrete Equipment and more. OKIE was formerly Great Plains Equipment Rental, but the high demand for more diverse rental units created the opportunity to serve our Oklahoma markets as OKIE. The Okie experience for our customers and our employees is founded on service. As an OKIE Yard Coordinator, you are at the top of our Organizational chart--not the bottom, because you and your role is closest to our customer! You will greet customers and will come to know them by name--and they will now yours. You will wash/detail equipment, provide basic preventative maintenance services (check fluids, grease, blow-out or change air filters) and get the unit back on the ready-to-rent line. You will also inspect equipment for damages and work with the the service department to make repairs as necessary. The OKIE Yard Coordinator is responsible for moving equipment in the yard and insuring that the yard is organized and managed for optimal traffic flow. Yard Coordinators make Yard logistics a career, and some use the role to go onto work in Service, sales, or store management. The ideal Yard Coordinator is friendly and enjoys customer interaction and enjoys working outside and in a shop environment. The Yard Coordinator will oversee customers loading equipment to ensure machines are properly secured when they leave , and they will sometimes assist customers and OKIE CDL Drivers in loading equipment. S/he is first and foremost safety minded and is capable of showing customers key safety and operational functions of the equipment; OKIE will train the Yard Coordinator in equipment safety along with the basic operations of the units in our yards. We operate with a Safety-first mentality! In addition to learning equipment, we are looking for the person who is willing to cross train in different areas of our business and to be open minded about future advancement---we promote from within first as opportunities become available.
