Okemo Mountain School, is a winter term ski and snowboard academy located in Ludlow, VT. We are a small close knit school community with a diverse teaching staff. Our classes have a student, teacher ratio of 2:1, providing individualized instruction, personalized learning experiences and an optimum learning environment. We offer professional development, and training opportunities to staff members, and value a healthful school environment.
We are seeking a high school and middle school English and Social Studies teacher. While we place teachers based on their strengths, it is helpful if the candidate can teach a variety of grade levels and content area within the scope of English and Social Studies. Candidates need to have a bachelor's degree. Prior teaching experience, and advanced degrees are a plus. Okemo Mountain School's academic year runs from November 2026 to April 2027 and the school day runs from 12:00-5:45pm. Applicants must demonstrate knowledge in the subject, have excellent oral and written communication skills, utilize an integrated approach to curriculum and instruction, have a willingness to be flexible and creative regarding instruction and assessment, be tech-savvy and able to establish a rapport with students and parents. Candidates must be highly motivated, organized, and able to multitask.
Salary : $12,000 - $17,000
