Duties

• Operate cash registers and POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process retail sales transactions accurately.
• Handle cash drawer management, including cash handling, balancing registers, and reconciling daily sales.
• Deliver excellent customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries or demos.
• Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging additional sales through upselling techniques.
• Maintain store merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product availability.
• Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or taking orders.
• Support the team by supervising new or less experienced cashiers and providing guidance on cashier procedures and customer interactions.

Skills

• Proficiency in POS systems and cash register operations with strong attention to detail.
• Previous supervising experience in retail or cashier roles is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills, including bilingual abilities to serve diverse customer needs effectively.
• Ability to perform basic math quickly and accurately for retail math calculations and cash handling.
• Knowledge of retail store product knowledge and merchandising principles to enhance customer engagement.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional phone etiquette.
• Experience in upselling, product demos, and promoting store promotions or sales initiatives.

Pay: $11.00 - $12.00 per hour
