Role Description The Certified Personal Trainer is a part-time, on-site role based in Nashville, TN. This role is responsible for designing and delivering individualized and small-group training sessions, including warm-ups, strength and conditioning work, circuit training, and cool-downs. The trainer will assess client needs and goals, create progressive training plans, demonstrate proper exercise technique, and monitor form and safety throughout each session. Daily responsibilities include coaching clients on fitness fundamentals, providing basic nutrition and lifestyle guidance within certification scope, tracking progress, and adjusting programs as needed. The trainer will also support client retention by maintaining regular communication, providing encouragement and feedback, and contributing to a welcoming, inclusive gym environment.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Personal Training and Fitness Instruction, including program design, form correction, and safe exercise progression.
- Experience or interest in Circuit Training or Sports Coaching to lead dynamic, high-energy sessions for individuals and groups.
- Working knowledge of Nutrition fundamentals to provide general guidance aligned with industry standards and certification scope.
- Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) from a recognized organization (e.g., NASM, ACE, ACSM, NSCA, ISSA, or equivalent).
- Ability to work on-site part-time in Nashville, TN, with a flexible schedule that may include early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and motivational skills, with a commitment to an inclusive, non-judgmental client experience.
- CPR/AED certification and a strong focus on safety and professionalism.
- Previous experience in a gym or sports performance setting is preferred but not required; willingness to learn and grow is essential.
