What are the responsibilities and job description for the Designated Crisis Responder position at Okanogan Behavioral Healthcare?
The primary duties of the position are:
1. Conduct crisis and safety assessments to determine danger to self or others, or grave disability that may require involuntary treatment.
a) Writes legal petitions for involuntary treatment
b) Intervenes and investigates when crisis situations are identified as potentially leading to involuntary treatment
c) Completes crisis documentation in a timely manner (generally within 24 hours, no later than three business days)
d) Conducts bed searches and coordinates placements for involuntary treatment
2. Provides clinical oversite to paraprofessional mobile crisis teams as they are intervening in the community
a) Is available by phone or in person for consultation for Mobile Crisis Responders
b) Consults with emergency room doctors and nurses for crisis and safety assessments
3. Provides support to other programs i.e. Mental Health Outpatient or Children's Mental Health for clinicians who have clients who may need crisis and safety assessments.
Master's Degree in counseling, psychology, social work or a related field is required. Must have a valid, unrestricted Washington State Driver's License. Must have one of the following licenses from the Washinton Department of Health:
- LICSW (Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker)
- LICSW-A (Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker Associate)
- LMHC (Licensed Mental Health Counselor)
- LMHC-A (Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate)
- LAAC (Licensed Agency Affiliated Counselor)

Salary range $79,900 - $86,900 per year DOE. And a $10,000 signing bonus!!! This is a full-time, salary exempt position.
