Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly with a friendly smile and positive attitude, making them feel comfortable from the moment they arrive
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to optimize seating flow
- Communicate clearly with guests regarding wait times, menu specials, and restaurant policies using excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and smooth service transitions
- Maintain a clean, organized host stand and waiting area to uphold our high standards of hospitality
- Handle guest inquiries, requests, and concerns professionally, ensuring a positive guest experience at all times
- Assist in maintaining guest relations by providing information about menu items, restaurant amenities, and upcoming events
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Host or Hostess in a food service or restaurant environment preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in person and over the phone
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
- Experience in hospitality, serving, or hotel guest services is a plus
- Excellent phone etiquette and guest relations skills to create a welcoming atmosphere
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure
- Knowledge of food service operations and restaurant procedures is beneficial
