Auto Body Technician
We are looking for a skilled and dependable Auto Body Technician to join our team. This role focuses exclusively on body repair, including teardown, structural and non‑structural repairs, metal work, panel replacement, and reassembly. The ideal candidate takes pride in quality workmanship, follows OEM procedures, and contributes to a positive, professional shop environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Collision Repair
- Perform structural and non‑structural repairs following OEM repair procedures
- Complete teardown and blueprinting with accuracy and attention to detail
- Repair or replace body panels, bumpers, lighting, and collision‑related mechanical components
- Conduct metal finishing, straightening, pulling, and welding as required
- Install and align panels, doors, fenders, bumpers, and other body components
- Apply proper corrosion protection, seam sealer, weld‑through primer, and cavity wax
- Perform complete and accurate reassembly, ensuring all clips, fasteners, and components are properly installed
Quality & Documentation
- Document all repairs clearly and accurately for estimators and insurance partners
- Communicate supplement needs promptly and professionally
- Perform thorough self‑quality checks before moving the vehicle to the next stage
- Ensure all repairs meet or exceed OEM and shop standards
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all OSHA, EPA, and shop safety protocols
- Use proper PPE at all times
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Operate tools and equipment responsibly and safely
Teamwork & Communication
- Work collaboratively with estimators, painters, and production staff
- Communicate clearly about repair status, parts needs, and potential delays
- Support a positive, respectful, and professional shop culture
Required Qualifications
- Auto body repair experience (
- Strong understanding of auto body repair fundamentals
- Ability to read and follow OEM repair procedures
- Proficiency with body tools, frame machines, welders, and shop equipment
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks safely
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
