Were a nationwide General Contractor and US Federal Government Prime Contractor for the US Air Force and National Forest/Park Service. We support a wide variety of projects from renovations, new construction and design-build of government facilities to include living quarters, administrative, maintenance, fitness, museums, law enforcement, fire stations, manufacturing and general operations.
Base Location: Primary duty location will be Warner Robins Air Force Base. Travel to out-of-state locations will be required based on project needs and the employee’s skill set in support of other ongoing federal projects.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dependable Window Installer to support federal and military construction projects. This role requires travel and the ability to work on secure military installations. The ideal candidate demonstrates professionalism, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of quality and safety standards required for federal work.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Install and remove windows and doors in accordance with project specifications and manufacturer requirements
- Perform accurate field measurements and verify site conditions
- Ensure proper flashing, sealing, insulation, and weatherproofing
- Read and interpret plans, specifications, and installation details
- Maintain compliance with federal safety regulations and site-specific requirements
- Protect surrounding finishes and maintain a clean, organized job site
- Coordinate with supervisors, inspectors, and other trades on active job sites
This position requires more than basic window installation. Candidates must possess additional construction trade skills and be comfortable performing related tasks as required on federal job sites.
Required Supporting Skills Include:
- General carpentry (framing, trim, blocking, finish work)
- Basic exterior and interior repair work related to window removal and replacement
- Ability to complete minor scope work necessary to restore surrounding surfaces to original condition
Preferred Additional Skills (Strongly Valued):
- Door installation and adjustment
- Drywall installation and repair, including patching and finishing
- Exterior trim, siding, or envelope repair
- Caulking, sealing, flashing, and moisture control
- Reading and following plans, specs, and SOW requirements
Tool & Material Management: Ensure proper use, maintenance, and inventory of carpentry tools and materials.
Safety Enforcement: Uphold OSHA standards and site-specific safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in window installation (residential, commercial, or federal preferred)
- Willingness and ability to travel for project assignments
