SALES REPRESENTATIVE (IN OFFICE POSITION)
Typical Duties And Responsibilities
- Calls our current customers to complete order entry process.
- Alerts customers to any important operational, quality, or pricing concerns.
- Becomes familiar with the entire OK Produce operational process.
- Becomes familiar with the OK Produce product assortment.
- Required to walk the warehouse multiple times a week to check product quality.
- Practices suggestive selling with customers using relevant market data.
- Needs to have an independent book of accounts.
- Quotes daily and/or weekly pricing to customers.
- Coordinates or writes customer promotions.
- Communicates product information to Quality Control and Buying teams. (Pricing and Quality)
- Communicates competition information to Sales and Buying teams.
- Must have basic math skills and is able to calculate higher or lower price offers while still meeting sales objectives.
- Must be able to enter basic data into a computer system once trained.
- Must be familiar with Excel and its basic formulas.
- Ability to maintain a consistent flow and speed to handle multiple customer orders in a short period of time.
- Must be competitive and continually strive to improve base business.
- Must be able to set up and service new customers quickly, efficiently, and professionally.
- Must be able to make decisions in critical moments without assistance.
- Must have a positive attitude and be a team player.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Must have a sense of responsibility and a sense of urgency to resolve fast paced job duties.
- Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and after hours as needed.
- Must always follow safety rules and regulations.
- Must have a valid driver's license and a clean DMV record.
- Other duties as assigned
- Must provide EXTRAORDINARY CUSTOMER SERVICE
- The ability to read, write, and understand English.
- Spanish Speaking is a plus but not required for all sales positions.
- Advanced computer skills (word processing, excel, spreadsheet, presentations, etc.)
