Perform functional, dimensional, and visual inspections on all incoming products as required; to include but not limited to receipt, tool identification, sample size determination, database entries, final dispositions, receiver filing, etc. keep up with a demanding schedule while performing duties accurately ensuring that all policies are being followed as applicable.
- Prepare first article inspection reports detailing the results of inspection activities. Perform specialized testing on materials (e.g. hardness, microscopic analysis, etc.).
- Visually inspect products for cosmetic appearance (e.g., pits, cracks, bubbles, die marks, and other visual flaws).
- Maintain computer log of all inspection activities.
- Conduct ERP transaction for incoming inspection, non-conformance materials.
- Accurately and neatly complete all inspection paperwork (e.g., inspection reports, discrepant material reports, first article reports, etc.).
- Perform product audits.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Working knowledge of handheld inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pins, gage blocks, visual system etc.
- Working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and the ability to learn new programs as required.
- Must know basic quality terms, definitions and concepts
- Must know how to measure using surface plate layouts
- Must have basic calibration knowledge
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and know definitions of critical, major and minor characteristics
- Must be able to perform a product audit; determine sample size for lots; pull random samples
- Demonstrate professionalism and good judgment
- Ability to multitask
- Must have good communication skills
- Minimum High school diploma
- Minimum 5 years quality experience

Pay Range: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
