What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembler I position at OilStates Industries?
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assembles component parts using a variety of hand tools.
- Pin obsidian plug to ensure components are aligned and in place.
- Pill slips for assembly.
- Final trim if needed.
- Maintains a clean work area.
- Perform work safely.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Record time in Mercury.
- Perform all tasks as required of a Safety Sensitive position.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work as a team to meet daily goals
- Collaborate with co-workers to problem solve
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Basic math skills
- Familiar with hand tools, bench equipment
- Basic verbal and written communication skills
- Reading comprehension skills
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Able to exercise good judgement
- Ability to contribute towards the success of a team
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Moderate physical effort required.
- Frequent standing
- Prolonged sitting
- Repetitive motion of finger, wrist, elbow, shoulder or neck movement
- Frequent use of finger tips
- Lifting up to 20 pounds from floor to waist
- Ability to speak clearly
- Reaching/lifting while holding objects weighing up to 20 pounds
- Seeing to visually inspect, measure/assemble at a close distance
WORK ENVIRONMENT/ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
- Inside manufacturing facility in a climate controlled environment
- Occasional exposure to hazardous chemicals, fumes and gases
- High noise level
