- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately for cash, credit, and digital payments
- Handle cash transactions with precision, balancing registers at shift end
- Provide product demos and upsell items to enhance customer satisfaction and sales
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and stock shelves to attract customer attention
- Assist with stocking, inventory management, and ensuring products are available for sale
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when handling inquiries or follow-up calls
- Support team members with supervising tasks as needed, including training new staff or guiding customers through store processes
Qualifications
- Previous cashiering or retail sales experience preferred; supervisory experience is a plus
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customers
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic retail math calculations
- Ability to perform merchandising, stocking, and product demonstration tasks effectively
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Knowledge of grocery store operations is advantageous but not required
