POSITION SUMMARY: Trusted advisor responsible for increasing market share through prospecting, building relationships, post sales implementation and account maintenance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Abide by all Oil States Energy Services Safety and Operational Policies and Procedures.
- Cultivate long term customer relationships and develop new business establishing credibility and rapport with customers.
- Provide customers with technical support, sales brochures, quotes, and any other information to meet their needs.
- Develop and maintain extensive knowledge of company product line (s) through reading/analyzing technical literature, promotional material, and attending company sponsored training/meetings.
- Maintain accurate and current data on each customer including client/office demographics, sales calls, presentations, and sales history. Analyze and evaluate data to increase sales productivity.
- Lead Lunch & Learn client presentations in a professional manner.
- Develop a database of qualified leads through referrals, telephone canvassing, face to face cold calling on business owners, direct mail, email, and networking.
- Demonstrate the ability to gather, submit detailed business information for underwriting, pricing, and presentation of solutions to identified prospects business problems.
- Establish internal relationships with members of management to find solutions to customer needs and present products to existing customers.
- Meets quarterly sales goals by effectively and profitably closing deals.
- Responsible for other projects as requested by manager but not limited to job description.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Proactively establish and maintain effective working team relationships with all support departments.
- Ability to calculate discounts, percentages, and volumes.
- Ability to operate hand tools preferred.
- Ability to travel to other facilities, or work events on weekdays and weekends.
- Must have knowledge of common best practices for the oil and gas industry.
- Must have working knowledge of MS Word and Excel (Office Suite)
- Knowledge of General Safety Procedures
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Requires minimum of 2 years of experience in an inside and outside sales environment. Experience in Oil/Gas service industry preferred.
- Presentation experience preferred.
- Familiar with tools and equipment utilized by company.
- Effective communication skills when dealing with all levels of clients.
- Valid driver’s license and meet OSES company vehicle acquisition and usage guidelines eligibility.
- College degree or equivalent work experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds. Anything over 75 pounds but less than 150 pounds will require either a lifting device or two employees. Anything over 150 pounds will require a lifting device per HSE guidelines.
- Requires pushing, pulling, bending, standing, kneeling, carrying, sitting, climbing for extended periods of time each day.
- Requires exposure to moderate noise levels.
- Exposure to warm, hot, and cold temperatures.
- Exposure to loud noise, vibrations, and bright lights.
- Must be able to travel.
- Prolonged sitting in office / vehicle environment.
