We’re looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accounting Specialist to handle day-to-day accounting operations in a fast-paced environment. This role can get in the weeds from time to time, so someone hands-on, adaptable, and organized is key.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage AR/AP, invoice entry and tracking, PO distribution, and financial tracking by class.
- Post journal entries, reconcile accounts, and support month-end close activities.
- Process and review payroll, including time entry verification, benefit deductions, 401(k) contributions, and ensuring accurate and timely disbursement for all employees.
- Handle accruals for accounts assigned to specific classes.
- Maintain benefit and 401(k) data and assist with onboarding
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Assist with internal controls, process improvements, and financial analysis.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in corporate or industry accounting.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Experience with QuickBooks and intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
- Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communicator and team player, able to collaborate across departments.
