English As A Second Language Teacher

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate English As A Second Language (ESL) Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to helping students from diverse backgrounds improve their English language skills. This role involves working with children and adults, providing tailored instruction to meet individual learning needs, and fostering a supportive and engaging classroom environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to the varying proficiency levels of students.
• Facilitate engaging lessons and activities that promote critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their growth.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance program offerings and share best practices.
• Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment conductive to learning.
• Communicate effectively with students, paretns, and staff regarding program updates and student performance.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance instructional skills.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in English from a recognized university is preferred. A TESOL certificate will also be considered.
• Applicants with a Bachelor's degree must have at least three years of teaching experience.
• Previous experience in teaching or instructional roles is an advantage.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written to engage with studnets and stakeholders.
• A passion for education and a commitment to fostering a positive learning enviornment.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.

Pay: $26.15 - $30.00 per hour
