Ohman Family Living At Home provides high-quality, relationship-centered care to individuals in the comfort of their own homes. As our Advanced Practice Provider (APP) caseload continues to grow, we are expanding our team to ensure we maintain the exceptional, compassionate service our patients rely on.
We are now accepting applications for a Medical Assistant / Patient Care Technician (MA/PCT) who will support both our Chagrin Falls office and our Home Health operations.
Position Overview
This hybrid clinical role combines traditional office-based support with in-home visits to assist our APP team. The ideal candidate is clinically skilled, adaptable, and comfortable working both independently in the field and collaboratively within our team.
This position can be Part-Time or Full-Time, depending on candidate availability and program needs.
Key Responsibilities
In-Office (Chagrin Falls)
- Support APPs with patient intake, vitals, histories, and exam preparation.
- Document care and assist with EMR workflows.
- Prepare and process lab specimens; coordinate couriers.
- Maintain clean and stocked clinical workspaces and equipment.
- Assist with care coordination and communication as caseloads expand.
In-Home Visits
- Perform blood draws/phlebotomy and specimen collection during scheduled home visits.
- Collect vital signs and basic patient history as directed by APPs.
- Ensure safe transportation, labeling, and handling of specimens.
- Communicate timely and accurately with the APP team regarding any patient updates or concerns.
- Represent Ohman Family Living At Home with professionalism, empathy, and respect in patients’ homes.
Qualifications
- MA, PCT, or equivalent clinical training/experience.
- Phlebotomy experience required; must be comfortable performing blood draws independently.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for home visits.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, adapt to changing schedules, and prioritize patient needs.
- Experience in Home Health is helpful but not required.
Work Schedule & Environment
- Part-Time to Full-Time opportunities available.
- Primary work location: Ohman Family Living At Home – Chagrin Falls Office.
- Home visits scheduled as needed; flexibility required based on patient volume.
